If it\u2019s your first time attending the conference, remember there is no one way to write, just as there is no one way to live your life. Discover and honor your own process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Catherine Ann Jones<\/strong>\u00a0holds a graduate degree in Depth Psychology and Archetypal Mythology from Pacifica Graduate Institute where she has also taught. After playing major roles in over fifty plays on and off-Broadway, she became disappointed by the lack of good roles for women and wrote a play,\u00a0<em>On the Edge<\/em>, about Virginia Woolf and her struggle with madness in a world gone mad, Hitler and WWII. The play won a National Endowment for the Arts Award. Twelve of her plays, including\u00a0<em>Calamity Jane<\/em>\u00a0(both play and musical),\u00a0<em>The Women of Cedar Creek,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Freud\u2019s Oracle<\/em>, have won multiple awards and are produced both in and out of New York. Her films include\u00a0<em>The Christmas Wife<\/em>\u00a0(Jason Robards &amp; Julie Harris) four Emmy nominations,\u00a0<em>Unlikely Angel<\/em>\u00a0(Dolly Parton), and the popular TV series,\u00a0<em>Touched by an Angel<\/em>. A Fulbright Research Scholar to\u00a0India\u00a0studying shamanism, she has taught at The New School University,\u00a0University\u00a0of\u00a0Southern California, and the Esalen and the Omega Institutes. Her books,\u00a0<em>The Way of Story: the craft &amp; soul of writing, Heal Your Self with Writing\u00a0<\/em>(Nautilus Book Award 2014)<em>,<\/em>\u00a0<em>What Story Are You Living?\u00a0<\/em>and<em>\u00a0Freud\u2019s Oracle<\/em>\u00a0are used in many schools, including New York University writing programs. Based in Ojai, California, she leads\u00a0<em>The Way of Story<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Heal Your Self with Writing,\u00a0<\/em>workshops throughout the United States, Europe, Middle East, and Asia.
