{"id":37,"date":"2010-02-09T10:50:54","date_gmt":"2010-02-09T18:50:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wayofstory.com\/?p=37"},"modified":"2013-08-08T13:10:56","modified_gmt":"2013-08-08T21:10:56","slug":"new-books-from-students-clients-bravo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wayofstory.com\/?p=37","title":{"rendered":"New books from students &amp; clients, Bravo!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; As a good midwife, I am especially pleased when I receive newly published books in the mail written by former students, <strong>Way of Story<\/strong> participants, and\/or writing clients. <\/p>\n<p>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Recently, Valarie Temple sent me <em>The Mud Witch Boy<\/em>, a delightful children\u2019s book for all ages with her poignant illustrations. Valerie was both a Way participant and later a client. She gifted me with a full page thanking me. <\/p>\n<p>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; This week, Meg Robinson, who took <strong>The Way of Story<\/strong> at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, four years ago, sent me her new book, <em>Drawn by a Star: Adventures in Patagonia. <\/em>I plan to read it this month. She inscribed a quote from me in the front of the book, \u201cYour job as author is to find the story within the story.\u201d and wrote me a lovely personal note, \u201cYour wisdom was behind every page of this book, driving me to look deeper, always looking for the story within the story.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; One may not get rich teaching or leading workshops, but here is an example of the real rewards.
