Lost in Liminal Space<\/p><\/div>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/strong>Patience is All<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Do not measure in terms of time: one year or ten years means nothing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the artist there is no counting or tallying up; just ripening<\/strong><\/p>\n

like the tree that does not force its sap and endures the storms of\u00a0<\/strong>spring without fearing that summer will not come. But it will come.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It comes however, only to the patient ones who stand there as if all\u00a0<\/strong>eternity lay before them\u2014vast, still untroubled. I learn this every day\u00a0<\/strong>of my life, I learn it from hardships I am grateful for: patience is all. <\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 –\u00a0 Rainer Marie Rilke<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>What is the hardest lesson I\u2019ve ever had to learn? Patience.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Saturn, the great teacher, sends prompts to learn the art of patience.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Illness, rejection, disappointment. These cause one to reflect and wait for deeper answers. Sometimes to set the writing aside in order to descend to deeper waters and replenish the creative well. What is amazing is that when you do this, small miracles arise, unasked. Dreams descend at night with new stories to tell. A walk in Nature seeing a white egret fly restoreth the soul. Then after a time \u2013 not your time, but Soul\u2019s time \u2013 you return to the desk and the writing comes through you \u2013 not by you.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And it is good.<\/strong><\/p>\n
