The Way of Story: The Craft & Soul of Writing <\/b><\/i>offers an integrative approach to writing narrative\u2014both fiction and nonfiction\u2014including plays, screenplays, short stories, novels, and memoir.\u201cWe\u2019ve become lopsided living only in our heads. Pen & paper, and courage are required of my students. If it\u2019s your first time attending the conference, remember there is no one way to write, just as there is no one way to live your life. Discover and honor your own process.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Catherine Ann Jones<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>holds a graduate degree in Depth Psychology and Archetypal Mythology from Pacifica Graduate Institute where she has also taught.\u00a0 After playing major roles in over 55 plays on and off Broadway, she became disappointed by the lack of good roles for women and wrote a play,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>On the Edge<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/em>,<\/i><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>about Virginia Woolf and her struggle with madness in a world gone mad: Hitler, and WWII.\u00a0 The play won a National Endowment for the Arts Award. Eleven of her plays, including\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Calamity Jane\u00a0(<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/em>both play and musical),\u00a0<\/span><\/span>The Women of Cedar Creek<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/em>,\u00a0and\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/span>Freud\u2019s Oracle<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/em>,<\/i><\/span><\/span> have won multiple awards and are produced both in and out of New York.
