“Be joyful though you have considered all the facts.”
Wendell Berry
Ojai remains a peaceful oasis in the swirling chaos of today. A highlight in August was a week’s visit from my older grandson, Raj, now fourteen. Asked how his week in Ojai was, he responded, “Crazy good!” The young give us delight & hope in this mad, mad world. Raj is enthusiastically writing and performing his work both in Seattle as well as on youtube.com. Raj’s brother, Tristan, now eleven, remains happy in his special world.
September was my sixteenth year teaching The Way of Story in Big Sur at the Esalen Institute, always a special time. Invited to Rancho la Puerta in Baja, MX to teach, and many workshops in various places. The goal for now is to limit overseas trips, staying home a bit more to write and to offer writing consultations.
Next performance of my 1-woman play Freud’s Oracle, will be in Dallas, May 3 followed on May 4 by a Heal Your Self with Writing workshop, sponsored by Friends of Jung Society. Enjoying this unexpected return to acting. (Freud’s Oracle is now available on Audible as well as Print and Kindle on amazon.com).
My 6th online course, Overcoming Grief with Creativity, is available on the home page of wayofstory.com
or dailyom.com (I’m told there are now over 35,000 subscribers to my online courses.)
November marked my 18th year as a final judge for the Ojai International Film Festival where the winning feature film, Octav, came from Romania and the winning animated film from India. Nice to have the wide, wide world coming to Ojai and not having to fly thousands of miles as before!
Wishing you all peace & love, Catherine & Missy Prissy
