So privileged to teach twice a year at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California. A pod of humpback whales visited and as I was

talking about using metaphor to describe a character, I mentioned it could be an animal, plant, or special object, suddenly a red

fox appeared a few feet away! He stared straight at me then vanished, after appearing on cue! Esalen is a magical place where
