Actor, award-winning author, playwright, and screenwriter Catherine Ann Jones is a scholar of story and a gifted creative force in weaving story content with the worldly and the spiritual, and the particular and personal with the universal and archetypal. She is a performer as well as a producer, a creator as well as a cultivator, who for decades has taught writing at Esalen, USC, and Pacifica Graduate Institute. The titles of her books reveal the breadth of her skill and passion for guiding readers to the treasures waiting to be mined within each of us: The Way of Story, What Story Are You Living?, Heal Your Self with Writing, True Fables: Stories from Childhood, Buddha and the Dancing Girl: A Creative Life, Freud’s Oracle. On Tuesday, July 9 at 5PM Pacific, the Myth Salon is honored to feature the multi-talented master storyteller Catherine Ann Jones, who will guide the audience through a labyrinth of story, shamanism, psychology, and soul, using East & West – Stories of India as the source of illumination. She will be joined by Dr. Ashok Bedi, a Jungian psychoanalyst and author of Path to the Soul, Awakening the Slumbering Goddess, In the Eye of the Storm, and other books that generate healing perspectives. Also Dr. Dianne Skafte, founding faculty of Pacifica Graduate Institute, author of Listening to the Oracle.
